GEA Messo AG design and supply chlorine processing and handling facilities
to match exactly the client’s requirement and can includes some or all of the
following process steps:
- Cooling and Filtration
- Drying to achieve lowest possible moisture contents
- Scrubbing to remove Nitrogentrichloride and/or Bromine
- Safe decomposition of Nitrogentrichloride
- Compression with liquid ring-, reciprocating piston- or centrifugal
compressor
- Liquefaction to achieve either highest efficiency or highest liquid
chlorine quality.
- Storage and transfer of liquid chlorine
- Filling into containers / tonners and bottles
- Evaporation
- Normal vent gas and emergency absorption into caustic soda.
